“As a marketing major, I knew that I wanted to make a difference and healthcare appealed to me. Fortunately, I had a wonderful mentor who encouraged me to be a leader. Having someone champion you early on makes a big impact.
I worked in a hospital for a while and could see the incredible value of healthcare. When the opportunity arose to work in staffing healthcare, it felt like where I wanted to be.
Some of the early challenges were how to deal with the technology needed to manage the business and evolve. At first I felt like a little kid until I embraced the idea that I could empower people, building trust by learning what they needed and then giving it to them.
My journey to becoming a leader in healthcare staffing was realizing that I could lead by example; be a mentor myself; get people to believe in me. Our business is very relationship-based and the people on our staff are incredibly people-centric focused. Anders Group has amassed a phenomenal talent pool, proving it to be a powerful place to develop people and see them succeed.”
