We are here to support you as you leap into your travel adventure in walking you thru the ins and outs of taking this next step in your career!
A question we are often asked is how does travel work as you travel? It is unique in that as a traveler you are both compliant with Anders, but also the facility where you are on contract. Anders Group is Joint Commission certified so we have a committed list of documents we receive for all travelers, but likely the facility is too, and have their must have list. This is why we unfortunately can’t knock out most items until a contract is accepted. For example, Anders requires a 9 panel drug screen, whereas a facility may require a 12 panel - and within 14 weeks of start date.
As much as our travelers like taking these, we try to only have to knock out once per assignment ha! Once a contract is accepted, the busyness happens, since even our current travelers may need some additional items for their new contract. Our team will reach out as soon as possible to connect on needed items. Then work with our travelers to try and get them cleared as soon as possible. We are grateful for a rockstar compliance team! You will be contacted after signing with your dedicated coordinator whom then you can contact anytime - and talk to a real live person! We know paperwork may not be the funnest part of traveling, but we want to make it as smooth as possible to get that clearance for the adventure to begin!
Key points that affect compliance for travel healthcare workers
Varying state regulations
Each state may have different licensing requirements and practice standards, which travel nurses and allied travel healthcare workers need to comply with when working in different locations. We are your expert to be sure you have all needed items on file for clearance.
Credentialing process
Regularly verifying and updating licenses, certifications, and other credentials across multiple healthcare facilities can be time-consuming and complex. It’s good to know that staffing agencies can make a major difference in streamlining the processes. We will set up appointments and try to make this as smooth as possible for you!
Documentation required
Maintaining a comprehensive set of documents including medical records, immunization history, and background checks for each new assignment. We will continually audit to be sure we are up to date.
Facility-specific policies
Each healthcare facility may have unique policies and procedures that travelers need to also be compliant. We will be sure to present these to you and be ready prior to each contract with all items..
